Our History

From a small family garage in 1980 to the Home of US-Cars: discover the milestones of our story spanning more than four decades.

  1. 1980

    • Founded by Karl Geiger, selling and servicing the VW Beetle, Renault R4 and Citroën 2CV.
    • Yellow Citroën 2CV with Geiger lettering and exposed engine on a trade-show stand in the 1980s
    • Moves to Trudering and expands into Italian makes and sports cars.
  2. 1983

    • Moves to larger premises, now without a business partner.
  3. 1984

    • Buys and assembles a Chevrolet Corvette: the focus shifts to US vehicles.
    • Geiger widebody Corvette C4 convertible outside the former workshop
    • Demand for US vehicles and parts grows noticeably.
  4. 1986

    • A yellow Corvette sells successfully and the customer base grows.
    • Custom tuning options such as wider wheels and chrome air filters.
    • Headcount grows to 25 specialists, drawing attention across Europe.
  5. 1990

    • Portfolio expands to include a body shop and a dedicated tuning and development department.
    • Showcases standout cars such as the 550 hp Corvette ZR1.
  6. 1991

    • Unveils the GMC Typhoon, the fastest SUV of its time.
    • Annual import volume grows to 150 vehicles.

    • Complete showroom renovation for more display space.
    • Service agreements with GM for Chevrolet, Cadillac and Hummer.
