Ford Performance's all-aluminum 5.0L Coyote crate engine is a modern 5.0L DOHC 32-valve V8 that utilizes advanced features such as direct and port fuel injection, dual independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT), high-rpm flow cylinder heads, and an increased compression ratio to deliver 420 horsepower and over 570NM of torque (using premium fuel). The lightweight aluminum cylinder block with plasma wire arc spraying features cross-bolted main bearing caps and thick main bearing dividers for bottom-end stability, optimized oil return, and drag control to improve high-rpm performance.
