With the KW V4 coilover suspension, we combine our leading racing technology with a significant increase in everyday suitability for numerous high-performance vehicles. This allows independent adjustment of the rebound damping as well as the low-speed and high-speed compression damping. KW therefore supplies the V4 coilover suspension with a vehicle-specific performance setting. Thanks to the adjustable dampers, drivers can - if necessary - intuitively switch to a comfort setting quickly using the integrated adjustment wheels on the damper.
The three-way adjustable high-performance dampers with their independent adjustment of the rebound stage using the "TVR-A" technology and the low-speed and high-speed compression damping using the "TVCLH-A" technology are based on the successful racing technology of the multiple overall winner of the ADAC Zurich 24-hour race at the Nürburgring and are supported by aluminum support bearings depending on the vehicle-specific version. The KW V4 coilover suspension is developed exclusively for selected high-performance vehicles, which can be driven more safely at the dynamic limit thanks to the sophisticated KW suspension technology.
VR-A rebound damping:
The two-stage patented "TVR-A" technology allows the low volume flows to flow through an adjustable conical low-speed bypass at slow damper speeds and the main rebound valve to open for the large volume flows at higher piston speeds. This results in a significant increase in driving comfort without affecting the high speed in the safety-relevant range. 16 precise clicks are available for individual adjustment, so that you can choose between more comfort or more body control.
TVCLH-A compression damping:
With 6 exact clicks in the low-speed range and 14 exact clicks in the high-speed range of the compression stage, the cross-sections in the valves can be made smaller or larger to achieve more or less compression damping. The "TVCLH-A" technology has a blow-off characteristic with large cross-sections that enables high low-speed forces for the best support of the vehicle body without allowing the body to lift off at wheel-excited high damper speeds (driving over curbs). The separate low- and high-speed settings are always supplied with an additional rebound setting ("TVR-A" technology) for an independent 3-way damper setting.
The KW V4 coilover suspension enables maximum or individual lowering within the tested adjustment range. Thanks to the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and the polyamide threaded ring, the stepless lowering can be varied quickly and easily even after years.
